First 10 Community Outreach Coordinator

District Wide Position

 

The successful candidate will collaborate with district and school administration and partners and educators to develop an early childhood connection with families that works to provide a smooth transition to pre-k and kindergarten.  This grant funded position will focus on partnering with families and early childhood providers from the district to implement the district/grant requirements including:

 

  • Serve as one of the three leaders on the grant leadership committee to help plan and implement agendas, implement actions steps and facilitate meetings.
  • Provide oversight/coordination of First 10 plan implementation between meetings
  • Identify data-supported positive outcomes and service gaps to inform project evaluation and continuous improvement efforts 
  • Coordinate with district and KVCAP staff to complete the goals of the First 10 grant.
  • Coordinate outreach to families within the district's catchment area to connect children and families with comprehensive support services.

 

The successful candidate will promote a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Structures routine contexts for individual and group-based professional development for educators to work collaboratively to reflect on and examine practice, solve application challenges, manage conflict, and promote continuous learning. The candidate will demonstrate effective communication skills, strong facilitation skills, have experience in collaboration and knowledge of early childhood development and educational strategies.   The candidate must be able to demonstrate flexibility, creativity and optimism as an educator, leader and learner

 

Applicants must have valid CHRC and bachelor’s degree. 

Social work or early childcare experience is preferred.

 

Salary commensurate with experience of candidate
